
Catherine McCarthy brings to Ohana valuable experience in property management, real estate and accounting. In her property management roles, she has been responsible for collection of and accounting for rents, inspection of units for tenant compliance, showing and leasing of vacant units, coordination of maintenance and repairs, on-site management of a complex, accounts payable for multiple properties, and monthly financial reporting. She has been licensed as a real estate agent as well. Catherine's accounting experience ranges from simple bookkeeping duties to tax reporting and preparation of financial reports.
As Property Manager for Ohana, Catherine assumes responsibility for oversight of our clients' real and personal property; timely payment of real property taxes, insurance premiums, and mortgage payments; management of maintenance and repairs to real property; coordination with contracted property managers for multiple-dwelling buildings; inventory of our clients' personal possessions; and management of storage units and safe deposit boxes. As time allows, Catherine also utilizes her accounting experience to assist with management of our clients' financial affairs.
Catherine has a Bachelor's Degree in Law and Justice, with a Minor in Psychology. She completed the GAAP of Government Accounting seminar in 1992, and the Fundamentals of Assessor's Office course in 1991.
Catherine has also worked at the King County Courthouse as Interpreter Services Coordinator, worked at the Assessor's Office, and worked at Lake Washington School District as an Administrative and Payroll Technician.
